Michael started training Brazilian jiu jitsu in January 2012 after peer pressure from a friend to lose weight. Michael fell in love with the sport immediately and has trained a minimum of 3 times a week since he started. Michael has lost 50 pounds through his consistent training and has improved his overall health dramatically. Michael now trains jiu jitsu for the regular exercise, social life, confidence and to continue improving his jiu jitsu game. Michael earned his blue belt in September 2014, earned his purple belt in July 2016 and earned his Brown belt in July 2018. Michael became a Black Belt under Professor Gary Grate in March of 2022.
Zeth Martin is a Navy veteran who began training brazilian jiu jitsu in 2008 at the age of 20 when he realized he didn't enjoy the traditional gym setting. He quickly found a natural affinity for the sport and the ability to use technique rather than strength to defeat bigger opponents. Over the years he has competed multiple times in both the amateur and professional MMA cage; recently competing on the Fight2Win stage of professional brazilian jiu jitsu. Zeth is a father of three and enjoys teaching his own children about the sport he loves and how they can use it to better themselves as they grow into young men. He received his purple belt in December 2014 from Dan Camarillo in Visalia California before moving to Fallon in 2016. He earned his Brown Belt in January of 2020, and his Black Belt in September of 2023.
A Minden native, Justin’s been involved in martial arts since he was 7 years old. He took a break in college after an injury, which turned into a decade-long hiatus while he got his degree(s) as an athletic trainer, started his career, and started a family, all while moving around the Pacific North/Mountain West. In the end, home really does mean Nevada, so Justin and his family settled in Fernley in 2021. When his daughters started BJJ, he rejoined the mat as both student and coach. He competes where he can, and loves that BJJ always gives the opportunity to learn and grow from working with others. Justin earned his blue belt in BJJ in March of 2022, and holds a 2nd degree black belt from West Coast World Martial Arts.
